Sugar Grove—The Sugar Grove Chamber of Commerce and Industry is extending its Chamber Cares program to partner with West Towns Human Services and Conley Outreach Community Services for the holiday season.
The Chamber Cares program offers opportunities for our members to work together to enrich the Sugar Grove community through service and financial support.
At the Thursday, Nov. 12, Chamber Membership Luncheon, Carol Alfrey, West Towns Coordinator, will present information about programs devoted to “Caring for the Heart of the Community.â€
The luncheon is held at the Sugar Grove Fire District, 15 S. Municipal Drive in Sugar Grove, at noon and is open to members and guests.
The Chamber Cares program will also provide volunteers to act as bell ringers to solicit donations at the Sugar Grove Jewel/Osco during the holiday season on behalf of Conley Outreach. All donations collected by chamber volunteers will go directly to the aid of needy families in our area. Anyone wishing to volunteer should contact Shari at (630) 466-7895 for details.
In addition, the chamber will sponsor a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Between Friends Food Pantry of Sugar Grove in the coming month. As part of its ongoing commitment to the well-being of the community, the chamber will present a cash donation to the pantry as part of the Chamber Cares program.
The Sugar Grove Chamber of Commerce & Industry is a not-for-profit organization that provides a forum to support businesses by fostering relationships and creating opportunities through which they can add value to the community. The Chamber Cares program enables members to embrace an active role in supporting our community.
