Nov. 19 police blotter

The following reports were obtained from local police departments. The individuals charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Elburn
• Miguel Ibarra-Motes, 27, 906 Lebmartz Ave., Aurora, was arrested at 8:22 a.m. Nov. 13, for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving without a license. Police stopped him on East North Street at Third Street for passing on the shoulder of Route 47 south of Kansas Street in Elburn.

• Stephen R. Faletto, 45, of the 1300 block of Blackberry Creeek Drive in Elburn, was arrested at 11:55 p.m. Nov. 13 for driving under the influence of alcohol and for driving an uninsured vehicle. Police stopped him for speeding on Keslinger Road west of Johnson Street in Elburn.

Sugar Grove
• Someone made several fraudulent transactions on a debit card from Old Second Bank belonging to a Sugar Grove resident totaling $633.50 on Nov. 11.

• Someone broke a mailbox in the 100 block of Mona Street, Sugar Grove at approximately 10 p.m. on Nov. 13.

Kane County
• Sean Heiss of Big Rock was pronounced deceased at the scene of a one-vehicle accident after emergency responders arrived at the intersection of Dauberman and Scott roads at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Friday.

The initial investigation indicates that a 2004 Hyundai Sonata was travelling south on Dauberman Road near Scott Road. For an unknown reason, the vehicle left the roadway just after it passed the intersection. The vehicle entered a field on the west side of Dauberman Road and rolled over. The driver, who was the sole occupant, was thrown from the vehicle.

The cause of the crash remains unknown and remains under investigation by the Kane County Sheriff’s Department.
