Sally Ann Webber

            Sally Ann Webber, 55, of Sugar Grove, passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008. She was born Aug. 31, 1953, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Bruce and Dorothy Chase.

            A professor of accountancy at Northern Illinois University, Sally was an inspiration to her many students and friends.

            She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Bob Webber of Sugar Grove; her children, Sara Webber Laczo and Roxanna Webber; her sister, Caroline Wendel; her father-in-law, Carl Webber; and mother-in-law, Ann Webber.

            She was preceded in death by her brother, David Chase.

            A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 8, at 4 p.m. at The Healy Chapel 370 Division Dr., Sugar Grove. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service. 

            At the request of Sally and the Webber family, in lieu of flowers and gifts, contributions can be directed to the Northern Illinois University Foundation for the Sally Webber Scholarship in Accountancy. Checks payable to the NIU Foundation indicating that the gift is for the Sally Webber Scholarship Fund may be mailed to: Anthony D’Andrea, Northern Illinois University, Barsema Hall 145B, DeKalb, IL 60115-2882.
