Big Rock adopts boundary agreements

By on February 6, 2009

The village of Big Rock unanimously adopted two boundary agreements at its Jan. 13 Village Board meeting.

The agreement between Big Rock and the village of Hinckley was effective immediately thereafter, since the Hinckley Village Board had previously adopted the document. The villages have mutually agreed that the Kane-DeKalb county line will govern future annexations of either community.

The agreement between Big Rock and the city of Plano took effect when Plano adopted the document at its Jan. 26 board meeting.

Plano and Big Rock adopted the Kane-Kendall county line as the mutually agreed boundary, excepting a small portion of property within Kendall County.
