MERIDIAN, MISS.—Marine Corps Pfc. Trevor Schramer, son of Jeniffer L. Brown of Holmes Beach, Fla., and Richard W. Schramer of Maple Park, recently graduated from the Marine Aviation Supply Specialist Course with Marine Aviation Training Support Squadron One, Marine Aviation Support Training Support Group 21, Meridian, Miss.

ROCK ISLAND, ill.—Alex Kurian of Elburn, a senior majoring in business administration-finance at Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill., received the Harold and Louise Lage Swanson Scholarship.

CHAMPAIGN-URBANA—Steven Boor of Elburn was named to the dean’s list in the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana College of Engineering for the fall 2011 semester.

MARION, IND.—Megan Shumaker, a 2008 Kaneland High School graduate, was named to the Indiana Wesleyan University dean’s list for the fall 2011-12 academic year.

LIMA, OHIO—Austin Park, son of Mike and Karen Park of Elburn, was named to the University of Northwestern Ohio College of Business dean’s list for winter quarter 2012.

WISCONSIN—The Marmion-Rosary Band competed in the North Shore District Wisconsin School Music Association Solo and Ensemble Contest on March 17.

MACOMB, Ill.—Beth Hesik of Elburn, and Rebecca Arnold, Margaret Ruppel and Lydia Scodro, all of Sugar Grove, were awarded four-year, $8,000 Western Illinois University Commitment Scholarships to attend Western Illinois University in fall 2012.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis.—Alexandra Sikic of Sugar Grove was named to the University of Wisconsin-Platteville dean’s list for the 2011 fall semester.

UPLAND, Ind.—Ann Schuette and Sara Wainscott of Sugar Grove were named to the fall 2011 dean’s list at Taylor University.

ROCKFORD, Ill.—Malki Duque of Elburn was named to the dean’s list at Rockford College for the 2011 fall semester.
