Board discusses Elburn Station plan prior to vote
ELBURN—The Village Board will have the opportunity to vote whether or not to approve the Elburn Station development at its next meeting on Monday,Feb. 6.

ELBURN—Residents will likely see an increase in their water and sewer rates. Public Works asked for the increase to keep costs even with expenses that have been rising.

Kaneville Township—An Elburn man died following a single-vehicle accident on Monday in unincorporated Kaneville Township.

ELBURN—A house fire on New Year’s Day claimed the life of an Elburn man.

ELBURN—The year 2011 saw changes and challenges for the village of Elburn. One of those changes was an increase in the number of residents: Elburn now has more than 5,000 people living within its borders—5,506, to be exact.

Multiple fire departments worked to extinguish a fire at a single-family home near Elburn Friday evening, Dec. 23. The blaze broke out about 5 p.m. at a home on the 2S200 block of Willow Creek Drive, in a subdivision located south of the intersection of Route 47 and Main Street in Blackberry Township.

ELBURN—Erin Rothenbaum of St. Charles was the winner of the Wedding Fantasy Barbie 1989 Collector’s edition, and Jennifer Thiel of Elburn won a John Deere toy Monster Treads Gator tractor in a drawing sponsored by the Friends of the Town and Country Public Library.
