MAPLE PARK—The Maple Park Lions Club will again sponsor a $1,000 scholarship to a 2012 graduating senior who lives in Maple Park.

KANELAND—Kaneland School Board members on Monday voted 7-0 to approve a 2012-2015 Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Kaneland Education Association (KEA).

KANELAND—Kaneland School Board members on Monday voted 6-1 to approve an increase in discretionary fees.

Kaneland McDole Elementary School held tryouts for the school talent show on Feb. 28. The actual talent show will be held on Friday, April 20, at 6:30 p.m.

KANELAND—Kaneland School Board members on Monday continued a discussion the fiscal year 2013 cost reduction plan, which will seek to eliminate $1.1 million in expenditures.

ELBURN—The Elburn Chamber of Commerce has awarded one and often two scholarships each year to deserving graduating students in the Kaneland School District.

The 1979 Girls Basketball and the the 1977 Girls Volleyball team were inducted into the Hall of Fame.

KANELAND—Kaneland High School teacher Javier Martinez in March 2011 took a group of 18 students on a spring field trip to Virginia, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.

Kaneland—Kaneland School District seeks to add members to its Citizens’ Advisory Committee (CAC), Finance Advisory Committee (FAC) and the Kaneland Foundation.
