KANELAND—A busy week for Lady Knights tennis had key players show progress.

ELBURN—Tuesday’s opening meet for the Kaneland boys cross-country roster seemed to serve two purposes.

KANELAND—Kaneland golfers had a nice go of it at Rochelle Golf Club on Wednesday, Aug. 25, taking care of their conference rival by a 163-195 score.

Meanwhile, senior cornerstone Hayley Guyton is leading the Knights pack with a more than decent start.

The Maple Park Youth Basketball Program for first- and second-grade boys and girls (Little Dribblers) and third- through eighth-grade girls runs from mid-October through mid-December.

KANELAND—While Kaneland soccer fell to a highly talented Antioch team in the 2009 Class 2A regionals, the Knights’ road to progress didn’t end there.

KANELAND—With a roster that returns several that missed State a year ago, motivation is available aplenty for Lady Knights cross-country in 2010.

KANELAND—Sixth-year Lady Knights volleyball coach Todd Weimer is counting on his girls tasting victory plenty in 2010, despite the sour end to the 2009 campaign.

AURORA —Registration is currently under way for the Fox Valley Park District/Kickers Soccer Club Saturday Youth soccer program that begins play in the fall.

Waubonsee Community College will host a fall baseball hitting and game league for high school players who are not participating in any fall high school sports.

The Sugar Grove Park District announces tryouts for the 2011 travel baseball program. Three teams will play under the banner of Kaneland Youth Travel Baseball in the 2011 season.

Prospective volleyball athletes participate in the “Circle the Wagons” drill at Kaneland Harter Middle School in Sugar Grove on Tuesday as part of a Kaneland volleyball camp for 7th and 8th graders.
