Kaneland bowling fell just 28 points short of matching Illinois Math & Science Academy during a battle at St. Paul’s School in Aurora on Thursday afternoon.

Tuesday afternoon spelled more Western Sun Conference action for the Lady Knight bowlers, but it resulted in a loss in Rochelle.

The bowlers got back into the swing of things at Mardi Gras Lanes in DeKalb on Monday afternoon, but with a 2,560-2,220 loss to visiting Rochelle.

It’s early, but the Kaneland bowling roster will definitely take this inviting start.

While there were some positive indicators in Monday’s opening bowling matchup with host Morris, the end result was not what Kaneland was hoping for.

To put Kaneland on a more equal playing field, the district is considering becoming part of a new conference.

Kaneland earned its second win against Geneva this season, but dropped a matchup to DeKalb, as well. KHS is now 3-9, with a 2-6 record in Western Sun Conference action.

Based on the first attempts of the year marked 2009, Kaneland bowling is already looking better, thanks to their first win.
