Former KHS standout leaves Northern Illinois University for Rutgers

MAPLE PARK—Kaneland High School learned of five football players that were not just exceptional on the field, but in the classroom as well.

Rain and mist made life difficult at points for the Kaneland and Yorkville football squads on Saturday during the 2009 regular season football finale.

MAPLE PARK—What might have been a thrilling win for Kaneland High School football on Friday night is now just “what might have been.”

DEKALB—At the start of Saturday afternoon’s chilly Homecoming affair between DeKalb and Kaneland, the host Barbs sent the Knights reeling off the field.

In less than desirable conditions, Kaneland football neither reigned nor poured it on Friday.

SYCAMORE—Breaking hearts are commonplace in high school, most notably at school dances or over text messages.
