Knights football opens with 2 home games, faces Chicago’s Brooks
KANELAND—With the Illinois High School Association’s official release of the 2011 football schedules, Kaneland High School now has an official idea of who it will clash with, en route to building upon its 12-1 season of a year ago.

KANELAND—If the three-year starting tenure under center at Kaneland High School was any indication, the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin and the Division III football landscape could be in for a challenge.

KANELAND—It was time to think warmer thoughts at Kaneland High School, as Friday had the release of the Kaneland High School Fall Sports Awards.

The awards were announced at this late date due to the postseason success of the football squad.

The Kaneland Knights fell to the defending state champion Montini Catholic Broncos 27-14 at Peterson Field in Maple Park Saturday night by a score of 27-14. The Knights ended the year 12-1. See this Thursday’s paper for a complete season wrap-up.
