ELBURN—The Elburn Village Board on Monday approved an intergovernmental agreement with Kane County to grant Pouley Road “rustic road” status.

SUGAR GROVE—Former board trustee and current Kane County Board member Melisa Taylor attended the Sugar Grove Village Board meeting on Oct. 16 and stated that the Between Friends Food Pantry organization recently gathered $25,450 in donations for food.

ELBURN—Parking illegally in Elburn could soon cost you more money.

The Village Board will vote Monday, Nov. 5, on a schedule of fines that were previously discussed at the village Committee of the Whole meeting on Oct. 9.

ELBURN—Engineering Enterprises, Inc. (EEI) Vice President Jeffrey Freeman on Monday presented the Elburn Village Board with several options for solving wastewater collection, treatment and disposal issues.

SUGAR GROVE—Sugar Grove Interim Police Chief Ronald Moser at the Village Board meeting on Oct. 16 said that the Police Department is looking to buy three new squad cars, along with three mobile computers and three cameras for the cars.

She faces Democrat challenger Norman Martin, who brings a background of public service as a former member of the United States Air Force and as a retired member of the Illinois State Police.

With area’s help, local athlete Dyer can head Down Under
KANELAND—Kaneland junior Nate Dyer has had quite the list of athletic accomplishments.

Members of the U11 and U14 girls travel teams from the Kaneland United Soccer Club (KUSC) spent the Columbus Day holiday with the Waubonsee Community College women’s soccer team and watched as the Chiefs defeated Morton CC 2-0.

Neil Owen Hoy, 83, of North Aurora, formerly of Addison, Ill., and Fridley, Minn., passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Countryside Care Center, where he had recently made his home.
