ELBURN—The Elburn Town and Country Library will offer two felting workshops on Friday, Dec. 27. Natasha Lehrer of Esther’s Place will facilitate a workshop at 1 p.m. for kids in grades one through five. Students will create a bright red felted cardinal, the state bird of Illinois. Needle felting makes this wooly feathered friend the perfect craft for chasing away winter break blues.

Natasha’s second workshop, at 2:30 p.m., is for students in grades six through 12. This group will make a pair of felted texting gloves. Why? When it’s cold outside and you want to text your friend, you don’t want to wrench your fingers from the cozy recesses of your gloves.

These workshops are open to the public. Registration is encouraged.

Town and Country Public Library is located at 320 E. North St., Elburn.
