Goal barrage lifts KHS

KANELAND—No matter the competition, it looks like Kaneland is getting used to performing at a certain level.

No longer a pushover against teams like Geneva and handling its other current rivals, the Knights continued their season with a 9-1 win against Illinois Math and Science Academy in Maple Park on Thursday before playing to a 0-0 tie against DeKalb on Tuesday.

Boys Soccer Preview: Through it all

KANELAND—KHS coach Scott Parillo has seen his team go through just about everything on the pitch.

A 2010 postseason saw the Knights play nine postseason overtimes enroute to a regional championship—the first for a head-to-head sport at Kaneland in five years—before losing to Sterling in the sectional semifinal.

Soccer handles IMSA, drops NIB-12 opener at DeKalb

KANELAND—The first trip to the new DeKalb High School grounds off of Dresser Road in DeKalb was not a welcome one for Kaneland soccer.

A goal with 28 minutes, 29 seconds remaining sent KHS on its way to a 2-1 loss to the Barbs.
