Elburn police blotter

The following reports were obtained from the Elburn Police Department. The individuals charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

DUI
• Thomas G. McCartney, 21, of the 400 block of South First Street in Elburn, was arrested for driving too fast for conditions and driving under the influence of alcohol, at 2:09 a.m. on Jan. 4. Police stopped him on Kansas Street east of First Street in Elburn after he left the scene of an accident in which the Dodge Ram he was driving hit a utility pole in the 200 block of First Street.
• Kyle Hoye, of the 5N200 block of Bluff Drive in St. Charles, was arrested at 2:25 a.m. on Jan. 1 for driving under the influence and marijuana possession. Police stopped him for speeding, on Route 38 at Route 47. He also was cited for driving while his license was suspended and driving without having insurance.

Driving while license suspended
Tony Lee Morris, 55, of the 1400 block of Kilmer Way in Clarksville, Ind., was arrested at 9:01 p.m. on Jan. 7 for driving while his license was suspended. Police stopped him in the 1000 block of South Route 47 after he did a U-turn on northbound Route 47 and ran a red light at the Route 38 intersection.
A passenger in the vehicle, Paul J. Komyatte, 37, of the 300 block of East Oak Street in Villa Park, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Villa park.
