John Neisendorf Jr., 89, of Maple Park, passed away Saturday evening, May 11, 2013, at DeKalb County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where he had recently made his home.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 63 years, Rose; six children, Vicky (Dean) Wood of Maple Park, Bob (Jane) Neisendorf of Maple Park, Barbara (Anil de Silva) Neisendorf of San Antonio, Texas, Betsy (Mike Ehorn) Neisendorf of DeKalb, Joe Neisendorf of Maple Park and Patrick Neisendorf of Maple Park; nine grandchildren, Dave (Heidi) Kinney, Susan Bogolin and her daughter Gabrielle, Johnny Kinney, Katie Neisendorf, Rachel Neisendorf, Grace Neisendorf, Sarah Leoni, Lisa Leoni and Laura Melgosa; and one brother, Edward “Bud” Neisendorf of Hampshire, Ill.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and five sisters, Mary Eder, Helen Strausberger, Frances Koenig, Agnes Neisendorf and Edna Barsic.
Memorial services will be held privately at a later date.

John’s family would like to thank Dr. Dhaval Thakkar and the staff of the DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center for the care and compassion they provided John these past years.
