2009 Spring High Honor Roll & Honor Roll

Last week saw Kaneland High School dole out its winter athletic awards with four sports being recognized on various levels.

While Kaneland Lady Knights bowling saw its 2008-2009 season come to an end this past Saturday, there was plenty to build on for next season, and plenty of teams that they left in the dust.

Kaneland Lady Knights bowling suffered two non-conference losses this past week.

Kaneland lost a close bowling battle with visiting Fenton on Wednesday, Jan. 21, by a final of 2,675-2,651.

Kaneland earned its second win against Geneva this season, but dropped a matchup to DeKalb, as well. KHS is now 3-9, with a 2-6 record in Western Sun Conference action.

The Lady Knights lost at T-Byrds in Rochelle to the Hubs by a final of 2,971-2,388.

Nothing like facing a steady rival to usher in the holidays, but the DeKalb Barbs were not about to yield Kaneland’s first win of 2008.

Wins for the Lady Knights bowling squad have been just out of reach.

It was a less than ideal start for the Kaneland bowling squad at AMF Valley Lanes in North Aurora on Monday evening.

Approaching his 20th year at the helm of Kaneland High School bowling, coach Jim McKnight has seen his share of pins knocked down.
