DEKALB—The following local residents recently received the Northern Illinois University Dean’s Award:

The Arnold and Mildred Erickson Charitable Foundation, Inc., awarded $49,600 in scholarships to graduates of Kaneland High School and Burlington Central High School.

Kelsey Borg of Maple Park was among the more than 100 students to earn a leadership award from Northern Illinois University during the spring 2010 term. Borg was awarded the Sophomore Leadership Award.
