On Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, I had the honor of participating in the Elburn American Legion’s Annual Veteran’s Day Ceremony at the Veteran’s Park in the village. Following the ceremony, a young girl came up to me and other veterans and presented us with beautifully decorated cards, thanking us for our military service.
