The Funky Bunch, consisting of Kaneland students Mark Linden, Zach Douglas and Zack Martinelli, participated in the Gus Macker 3-on-3 tournament in Morris the weekend of June 4-5 and took third in the 17-18 bracket.

STERLING—In a Northern Illinois Big XII crossover matchup, Kaneland golf was passed over.
KANELAND—Out of the gate, it’s a decent start for Kaneland High School golf after two meets. Meanwhile, senior cornerstone Hayley Guyton is leading the Knights pack with a more than decent start.
Guyton, Douglas, Krueger, Schuberg head up 2010 team KANELAND—If anything, KHS golf returns in 2010 with some experience at State.
Kaneland golf’s postseason presence is not quite done with yet.
With the end of the regular season, the Knights golf team goes home as a unit, but several individual golfers fight another day.
While the Kaneland golf team earned some nice non-conference wins this past week, Western Sun Conference competition provided a tad tougher.
GENEVA—Kaneland found itself on the wrong end of a 157-165 loss at Mill Creek against Geneva, but feels it’s not that far away from going club-to-club with the area elite.
For now, everything’s coming up snake-eyes for the Kaneland High School golfers.
MAPLE PARK—While Kaneland High School golfers are sure to be missing a senior presence from last year, the younger golfers moving up bring experience.
